So things have been quiet here for a while – I’d explain why, but wouldn’t want to bore you.
Instead I’ll just point you to a video I uploaded to YouTube last week. It’s a video showing 90% of my inbound (home-to-work) commute. I sped up the video to 6x speed so that you don’t have to watch every agonising second as it unfolds, but you’ll get a good idea of the distance I travel, the time it takes and – if you know the area – the route I follow.
Feel free to add your comments, either here or directly to YouTube.
Incidentally, you will notice that the editing and video captioning is done rather poorly (in my estimation, anyway). This is because I’m still finding my feet with this video editing lark and I’m not really sure what I’m doing just quite yet. Feel free to comment on that too.
I’m currently using OpenShot Video Editor on Linux (Ubuntu Precise) for my video – can anybody suggest an alternative for the Linux platform? Or if you’re also using OpenShot, can you share your hints/tips/tricks/wisdom on how to make better looking video?
